Scrapture Designs is the junk-art practice of Kathy O'Hara.

For 40 years she's been POUNCING on domestic and industrial discards and cobbling them into furniture, lamps and funky garden art.

In our throwaway society, there's no shortage of raw material, and part of her aim is for viewers to  rethink what they discard.

Her popular Scrapture workshops reinforce this idea.

She has won best 3D award in NSW annual Waste to Art competition in 2011, won best overall  in 2012, enjoyed local success in Hobart's Art from Trash, and Kingborough's biannual Salvaged exhibition.

She's had 3 solo exhibitions, and been in many group exhibitions in NSW and Tasmania.

She is way more inspired poking around on a tipsite than in any art gallery!
