The Studio Art Trail is an annual open studio event where more than 60 artists and makers welcome visitors into their studios and Artist Hubs throughout the Huon Valley and Far South.

The 2026 Huon Valley Studio Art Trail will be held Friday 23 – Sunday 25 October 2026, with studios and Artist Hubs open daily from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Artist Hubs are shared spaces where multiple artists come together in one location, making it easy to discover a diverse range of creative practices and artworks.

No. The Huon Valley Studio Art Trail is free to attend.

No. Bookings are not required. Simply plan your route and visit participating studios and Artist Hubs during event hours.

A digital trail map will be available on our website, with printed maps available from Visitor Information Centres and selected local businesses.

The full trail spans more than 150 kilometres. You can visit selected studios in a one day or half a day. We would recommend allowing two or three days if you wish to fully experience every artist involved in the event.

You can begin the trail at any participating studio or Artist Hub. Use the trail map to plan a route that suits your interests and available time.

Yes. The Studio Arts Trail is self-guided, allowing you to explore at your own pace.

The Huon Valley and Far South offer accommodation for every style and budget, from boutique stays and farm cottages to cabins, caravan parks, and bed and breakfasts.

Many towns along the trail offer cafés, bakeries, wineries, cider houses, restaurants, and local produce. Some Artist Hubs may also have refreshments available.
