Josephine Crowe

stained glass artist

Josephine Crowe is a stained glass artist based in the beautiful Huon Valley, Tasmania. With five years of experience working with glass, she creates unique, handcrafted pieces that celebrate colour, light, and craftsmanship.

Working from her home studio, Josephine specialises in traditional leadlight stained glass and Tiffany-style copper foiled glass techniques. Each piece is individually designed and carefully crafted, resulting in one-of-a-kind artworks that range from decorative panels and suncatchers to functional and sculptural glass creations.

Alongside her stained glass work, Josephine also creates glass-on-glass mosaics, combining texture, pattern, and colour to produce distinctive artworks inspired by nature and the surrounding landscape of the Huon Valley.

Passionate about the timeless beauty of glass, Josephine enjoys exploring the way light transforms her work throughout the day, bringing each piece to life with changing colour and movement.

Josephine welcomes commissions and works closely with clients to create bespoke pieces for homes, gardens, gifts, and special projects. Visitors to her studio can view finished works, learn about the stained glass-making process, and gain insight into the artistry behind this traditional craft.

Through the Huon Valley Studio Art Trail, Josephine invites visitors to experience her creative space and discover the beauty and versatility of handcrafted stained glass.
