Eleanor Ann Kramer

Eleanor Ann Studio

landscape painter

Flowing from a place of delight, curiosity, and attentiveness, Eleanor Ann’s current work embodies four years of being saturated in the colours and shapes of Tasmania,

Australia - the island she now calls home. Her oil paintings reveal an excitement for Tasmania's environmental diversity – the whimsical curves of eucalyptus branches, the unexpected pink of coastal succulents, and the shifting hues of blue mountains – every corner reveals a new detail to absorb. With each brushstroke, Eleanor celebrates the familiar contours of creation that draw her into deeper connection; a celebration of the places we walk through daily that tie us to the land we belong to.

Tasmania's wilderness is an invitation to notice beauty and wonder in the unknown. Eleanor’s luscious landscapes serve as a reminder to linger a little longer, until the new becomes familiar and the foreign becomes home.

Eleanor Ann Kramer grew up under the wide skies of Minnesota, USA. In 2022 she moved to Tasmania to marry her Australian husband and begin a new adventure.

Invigorated by this new environment, her passion and skill in landscape painting took onn new depth. She paints from observation, working en plein air or ensconced in her small rural studio. Eleanor’s work has been displayed at CuckoO Gallery, Wild Island Gallery and she was awarded a finalist in the 2025 Henry Jones Art Prize. Her paintings are held in private collections across Australia and internationally.
