Huon Art Exhibition Group | HAEG
For more than 20 years, the Huon Art Exhibitions Group (HAEG) has proudly supported and promoted artists in the Huon Valley. Over the years, HAEG has presented numerous exhibitions, including the annual Huon Art Awards at the Cygnet Town Hall, attracting artists, art lovers and visitors from near and far.
HAEG operated the Lovett Gallery for many years before moving into Cygnet’s main street in 2023, establishing Cygnet Gallery at 9A Mary Street. Today, HAEG continues to host solo exhibitions and special art events at the Lovett Gallery, located at the rear of the Cygnet Town Hall.
Just a 45-minute drive south of nipaluna / Hobart, Cygnet Gallery is a welcoming destination for locals and visitors exploring the Huon Valley. The gallery showcases the diverse work of talented local artists, with paintings, photography, sculpture, ceramics, jewellery and much more. With changing exhibitions and a variety of work to discover, there is always something new to see.
Open seven days a week from 10 am to 4 pm, Cygnet Gallery offers visitors the opportunity to discover local creativity, find inspiration and perhaps take home something unique. It also provides artists with an important opportunity to share their work and connect with the wider community.
HAEG is a fully volunteer-run community cooperative, with profits returned to the arts community through awards, exhibitions and other creative projects. Looking ahead for 2027, as well as the Huon Art Awards HAEG is already planning the Handmade in Cygnet Art Trail as well as supporting an inaugural Beanie Festival.
