CUCKoO is an art gallery, design space and carefully curated store full of local artisan wares, art & craft supplies, wearables, and homewares. It’s also home to some of the most lusted after and desirable products from Australia and around the globe. Founder and Director Caroline Davies Choi is an Art Historian and Curator as well as a Textile Designer and screen-printer. She sources and curates everything you find in the store.

CUCKoO has been on the Tassie artisan scene for 10 years now, beginning life as CUCKoO Artisan Market in 2016. It has grown, and evolved, but continues to champion quality artisan made wares, local crafts-people, good design, and the perfectly imperfect, colourful and whimsical style they’ve become known for. Their bricks n mortar is at 17 Mary Street, Cygnet.

CUCKoO holds membership with NAVA (National Association for the Visual Arts) and is an Arts Tasmania COLLECT Art Scheme participating business. The COLLECT scheme allows eligible Australian residents to purchase contemporary Tasmanian art via a 12 month interest free loan from Arts Tasmania. In 2026 CUCKoO was voted one of the top 15 boutiques in Tasmania by Country Style. For this years art trail, they will be showcasing the work of three local artisans/ crafts-people.
